GLADYS
BEAN MEMORIAL TROPHY
The Gladys Bean Memorial Trophy is awarded annually to
the CIS Women's Soccer Champions. The award is in honour of Miss
Gladys Bean a pioneer for women in sport in Quebec and Canada
and a staff member of McGill University for 40 years. The trophy
was donated jointly by the QSSF and McGill University.

GUNN
BALDURSSON MEMORIAL AWARD / (Championship MVP)
The
Gunn Baldursson Award is awarded to the Most Valuable Player
of the National Championship. The selection is made by a committee
established by the Host. The trophy was donated by Acadia University
and the Baldursson family in memory of Gunnhildur Baldursson.
A native of Iceland, "The Gunner" was a two-time All
Conference soccer player for the Acadia University Women's Soccer
Team, and a National Team member. Baldursson was killed in a
tragic car accident in 1987.

CHANTAL
NAVERT MEMORIAL AWARD (Player of the Year)
The
Chantal Navert Memorial Award is presented annually to the Outstanding
Player of the Year. The award was donated by the Université
de Sherbrooke in memory of Chantal Navert. Chantal, a National
Soccer Official for 15 years, an avid university soccer supporter
and a role model for those aspiring to become referees at the
National and International level, passed away suddenly in 1995.
The winner is selected by a selection committee composed of
members of the CIS Coaches Association.
