Day 3: T-Birds swim to eighth straight CIS titles
EDMONTON (CIS) - At the 2005 CIS swimming championships, the T-Birds' men increased their record CIS team title streak to eight, while the women also won their eight straight national banner, breaking a record that they jointly held with the University of Toronto (1987-93). -

EDMONTON (CIS) Jennifer Carroll of the UQTR, and Audrey Lacroix of Montreal made more waves on the second day of competition at the 2005 CIS swimming championship held at the University of Alberta, as they both entered the CIS record book for the second consecutive day. -

Downing Medals With Vikes Record at CIS Championships
University of Victoria Vikes Rookie swimmer Mackenzie Downing (Whitehorse, Yukon) won the silver medal in the women's 100 butterfly this evening tying for second place in a time of 1:01.37. Her time was also a Vikes Record eclipsing the old time of 1:01.79 set by Pamela Rai in 1986. Downing also led the Vikes women's relay to a 6th place finish. -

Defending champion UBC looking to add to record streak
OTTAWA (CIS) The University of British Columbia women's and men's swim teams already have a well-deserved place in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) record book, yet they will be looking to write more history from Feb. 25-27 in Edmonton when the country's top university swimmers meet at the University of Alberta's Kinsmen Aquatic Centre for the 2005 CIS championship. -
