EDMONTON (CIS) - Fifth-year midfielder Hilaire Kamdem scored the only goal of the game in the 72nd minute to lead the host University of Alberta Golden Bears to a shutout of the Trinity Western University Spartans in the gold-medal final at the 2006 CIS men's soccer championship at Foote Field, on Sunday afternoon. - November 12 2006

EDMONTON (CIS) - The QSSF champion Montreal Carabins added a CIS bronze medal to their impressive 2006 season as they defeated conference rival the Laval Rouge Et Or 4-1 in the third place match of the 2006 CIS Men's soccer championship Sunday afternoon on the turf at Foote Field in Edmonton. Fouls and cards punctuated the game as the teams combined for 38 fouls, three red cards and four yellow cards in a very physical affair. - November 12 2006
