Luscombe, a third-year sociology major from Ottawa scored four of her teams five goals over the weekend, including her first career hat trick, as the nationally top-ranked Gee-Gees improved their perfect record to 9-0-0 with wins over RMC and Ryerson. The junior striker, who is currently tied for the team lead with seven goals, was the lone scorer on Saturday in a 1-0 shutout of the Paladins and added three markers in a 4-1 victory over the Rams on Sunday. No. 1 Ottawa goes for win number 10 Wednesday night against Queens. Soccer players Kristina Weatherbie of Cape Breton, Vronique Laverdire of Montreal and Megan Lumley of Lethbridge were also nominated for the weekly honour. Mayaleh, a first-year administration student from Charlottetown claims the honour on the mens side after tallying all three Panthers goals this past weekend as UPEI battled Dalhousie to a 2-2 draw and blanked Saint Marys 1-0, handing the Huskies (4-1-2) their first loss of the regular season. The five-foot-10, 150-pound striker, who leads the AUS in scoring with six markers in eight outings, became the first player to score against Saint Marys all season when he found the back of the net in the 75th minute on Sunday. UPEI (4-1-3) moved to ninth place in the CIS Top 10 following the four-point weekend. Sherbrooke cross country runner Alex Genest, Toronto soccer player Mike Bialy and Saskatchewan hockey player Jeff Harvey were the other nominees for the mens award. Luscombe, une tudiante de troisime anne en sociologie originaire dOttawa, a inscrit quatre des cinq buts de son quipe ce week-end, incluant son premier tour du chapeau en carrire, alors que les Gee-Gees, classs premires au pays, ont port leur dossier immacul 9-0-0 grce des victoires face au Collge militaire royal et Ryerson. Lattaque de troisime saison, qui se retrouve galit en tte parmi les marqueuses des Gee-Gees avec sept russites depuis le dbut du calendrier, a inscrit le seul filet de la rencontre samedi dans un gain de 1-0 contre les Paladins, puis a ajout trois buts dimanche dans une victoire de 4-1 sur les Rams. Ottawa a loccasion de remporter une dixime victoire ds mercredi soir, face Queens.
