Scott, a fourth-year arts student from Winnipeg, had back-to-back two-goal games as the No. 3-ranked Bisons improved their perfect conference record to 6-0 with road wins over Saskatchewan, 5-1, and Alberta, 4-2. The 21-year-old midfielder / forward added two assists for a six-point weekend, including the game-winning tally in the 81st minute against Alberta. The No. 3 ranking in the CIS Top 10 is the best in team history for Manitoba, which holds a four-point lead atop the Canada West standings. Soccer players Jackie Fitt-Ryan of UNB and Vronique Maranda of Montreal, as well as Guelph cross country runner Lindsay Carson were also nominated for the womens award. Cliff, a fourth-year sport and physical education student in his first season with the Voyageurs, extended his personal shutout streak to 266 minutes as Laurentian (4-2-1) blanked RMC, 3-0, and Queens, 1-0, to join Toronto in a tie for second place in the OUA East standings. The six-foot-one keeper from Sudbury, who returned home after three years at Oakland City University in Indiana, made his best save of the weekend Sunday against Queens when he dove across the net and cleared the ball off the goal line to preserve the Voyageurs slim 1-0 lead. La milieu de terrain et attaquante ge de 21 ans a ajout deux mentions daide pour un week-end de six points, incluant le but gagnant russi la 81e minute face Alberta.
